Late Summer Yorkshire Wolds
Today I wanted to show you this bright and beautiful little painting, which I feel a bit nervous about, as it wasn’t done entirely by me.
As many of you know it’s the school holidays and I’m fortunate enough to have a lovely granddaughter who I look after occasionally She loves to paint so she started this canvas with colours she chose and then I took it on and made something of it. It reminded me of the Yorkshire Wolds in late summer when the corn is ripening and the sun is low.
I really enjoyed this collaborative painting with her and she really approves of the finished painting. We’ve both signed it on the back and dated it and I’ve signed it on the front ‘Elliotts’ with an S, as it was both of us doing the work.
I’d like to know what you think of this approach - and of the painting. I’m excited to be doing more of these this summer with her
As you may know, I have a page on my website which is showing paintings that I have for sale via the Artists Support Pledge. This painting is now available as part of that scheme.
Is 25 x 22 cm is framed, and is priced at £225
