An Original Painting of Whitby, East Yorkshire. 
 
Whitby is a favourite place of mine and I have many fond memories of childhood holidays there. Wandering about the clustered cobbled lanes, eating fish and chips and then marching up the 199 steps to the imposing Abbey.  The Abbey and harbour are of course famous for their associations with Bram Stoker's Dracula. 
Now a days it's a much visited, characterful place that I love to go to, to enjoy those same streets and chips, and also to watch the annual Steam Punk gathering and of course the Tour de Yorkshire.
