This painting 'Penbryn Spring’ was painted recently following my realising it was the 10-year anniversary of painting a previous one of Penbryn called 'Celandine and Snowdrops'
I wonder where this painting is now? Whose wall is it hanging on? How do they feel when they look at it?
I often think of the thousands of paintings and prints that have gone from my hands into the homes and hearts of others. And how the simple pleasure I have had in creating those is now continuing in another being’s life and home.
And then I think, it’s not a bad occupation, it’s perhaps one of the best jobs in the world, to share these simple pleasures.
