Flowers for Matisse
 
I was lucky enough to recently visit an exhibition of Matisse's Cahirs at the Orangerie in Paris. I've always liked Matisse's work for his use of colour and simplicity of style.  Seeing his cahirs - his sketchbooks - in real life was an eyeopener for me, and encouraged me to explore my love of colour even further.
This one is painted in honour of him and his vision.
