1. Thought of the week @Equisgarcia - "Dharma Art is the quality of presence a maker brings to their work...." named what I felt when painting and gives a framework for thinking and talking about my work.

2. Matisse. Inspiring me to know when to stop. Not every inch of every painting needs detail. Empty space allows the detailed areas to shine.

3. Seeing my work hanging in the fabulous @yr_hen_printworks

4. Mending. @asolo.official - these boots are my absolute favourites, at least 12 years old and bald on the bottom. I am overjoyed that they are now in Italy, at the manufacturers who offer a resoling service. Can't wait to have them back.

5. Delish coffee in a plant based no plastic cup the made me smile from @bocsdu

6. Birthday pressie from me to me. Just what I wanted, thank you! @edenashramofficial

7. Happy surprise. When a framed print looks even better than the original.

'Aberporth to the beach'
What can I say? Where have those last 30 years gone?
When I started painting in the style I'm known for, it was with Sennelier Oil Pastels. I loved their soft lipstick-like creaminess and the way they allowed me to follow the idea of 'colouring in' that fascinated and continues to fascinate me.
Anyone remember Aberporth from the 80s/90s?
I'm currently updating my website and including some of my favourites from the last 30 years that haven't been seen for a while.

Colourful cottages leaning into one another, people gathering, pausing, chatting—dogs weaving in and out, all of it gently flowing in the same direction.

that sense of we’re nearly there.

How’s your Easter day been? I hope you’re having a lovely time here we’re waiting for a family to arrive and I’ve been finishing off a little commission that is on its way to live in Italy.

How’s your Easter day been? I hope you’re having a lovely time here we’re waiting for a family to arrive and I’ve been finishing off a little commission that is on its way to live in Italy.

Pasg Hapus, Happy Easter

This painting - 60 x 60cm is my Easter painting of St David's Cathederal with the spring blossoms of the ancient cherry tree in the grounds. This is my favourite view of the cathederal - the approach from the ancient cobbled path of Merrivale, towards the main door.
I always think the seagulls that are often seen there (it's only a mile or two from the sea) look like angels flying overhead.

This painting is in my solo show at Oriel Cardi Bach, Aberteifi, until 24th April, along with 19 other new spring-themed, colour filled joyful images.

the boats drift quietly,
and the shoreline comes alive with wildflowers.

It’s the kind of scene that stays with you —
held somewhere between memory and feeling.
