hey folks, how are you doing today?
it’s Raining Again here in West Wales, and it would be easy to think oh no, blooming rain, and feel a little sad about it.

But catching that thought is the thing. And choosing a replacement. Thoughts become actions, and actions become us.

And so in art, I encourage class members to notice and verbally remark upon the colours, lines, passages that light them up, their ‘yeses’ and also to notice their thoughts when the painting doesn’t go as they wish. Our thoughts create our reality - but they are not our reality - we have the opportunity, every moment to define that reality.

and I thought I was just going to show you some yellow-themed paintings for a little uplift and enjoyment🤣😊🎨

I’ve been buying myself flowers recently 💕💕

And I’ve been doing lots of sketches of them. Paper whites and posh tulips.🥰 I do love this time of year before spring properly starts outside but you can find these kind of flowers to energise the room.

Well, this was going to be just a half an hour live sharing the painting of today’s advent painting. But it turned into an hour!

There’s just so much that I want to share! Particularly the importance of carving out some time for doing things that really feed your soul during this busy period.

The today me is so so grateful that the me 2 weeks ago committed to a daily painting - which means that I get in the studio at least once a day.

I’ll be posting up the finished painting later, but right now I have to go and deliver some work to @oriel_cardi_bach 😘😘

Hey friends, I just wanted to run something by you before I commit to a booking.

I’ve been offered a hall in Newcastle Emlyn here in West Wales to hold a painting class in the afternoon on Saturday, the 5th of December and Saturday 12th of December.

I’m thinking just 3 hours each time- come to one or both - and have tea and cake and paint along with me. Everybody will have a canvas and paints provided and just follow along with what I’m painting and take home a picture!

Sounds like fun?? if you would be interested could you let me know? Just so I can judge interest before I commit to booking the hall.

It’ll be a bit like the Paint and Prosecco evenings that I do, but without the Prosecco, it’ll be more tea and cake. So it will suitable for groups (office party with a twist anyone?) and people who just want to have a go at painting.

Albert and I then went to deliver the new leaflets to @Crwst at Poppit had some tea English coffee from them and got a walk on the beach.
