Join me, live in the studio for this interactive workshop where we will explore starting to work abstractly.  And it's going to be fun!

It's long been my belief that there's no such thing as abstract art.

I believe that all art is abstract art. When we start to look at how paintings are built- shape, line, design, value - we see that by understanding these aspects, we can then use these building blocks in the form we desire.

Looking at modern and historical greats in the abstract art world, we'll build,  step by step, an understanding of the how and whys of abstract art.

Using collage, note-taking, sketches and colour, we will explore through hands-on exercises on paper and board, the basics of abstraction and how to apply them to your work.

  • An hour of live, interactive group tutorial /demonstration on Friday evening between 6 and 7pm.

  • Live painting workshop on Saturday and Sunday from 11am - 1pm BST.

  • Daily live Q&A and review session after class.

  • Individual support and feedback based on your course work if desired.

The workshop is delivered via a Zoom meeting room so that we can all see each other, as we would in a face to face workshop.
