Good morning. I’d like to invite you to come and paint with me on 20th June at the award winning Little Wold Vineyard in East Yorkshire.
I first came across the delightful @LittlewoldVineyard this January when I moved, part-time to South Cave, East Yorkshire and began walking the Wolds Way.
What a sight to come across! A steep, bright white chalk road curving gracefully towards rows and rows of mature vines, set on the south facing gentle edge of Wolds chalk slopes . Across the valley further rows of hand planted young vines were in sight.
Further delight that evening when at the stylishly relaxing Fox & Coney Inn I spied LittleWold Rose in the chiller. Wow - perfect, reminiscent of Sancerre, no wonder it's an award winner.
Fast forward six months and it's a bit of a dream come true moment - I'm having a solo show there starting 20/6/19 - (PM me for preview tickets - yes there will be wine).
In the day on the 20th June, there's a chance to spend a day painting with me at the vineyard, when I'll demonstrate step-by-step how my paintings are created.
You will have the opportunity to investigate how to create an exciting composition using expressive energy and incorporating collage with acrylic paints. We'll develop representational landscapes, and explore how a personal, expressive 'gut response' to painting, underpinned by keen observation, drawing and painting skills, can really move your art to the next level.
You'll learn my techniques with acrylic paints, how I design my paintings and the importance of play in creating great paintings.
